About Instrumental Music Program-Baltimore
Founded in 1976, the Instrumental Music Program-Baltimore provides instrumental music education to private and parochial schools in the Baltimore metropolitan area. The program is designed to offer small group instruction to students in grades 4-8 on brass, woodwind and percussion instruments during school hours. Each school has its own band which rehearses on the same day as the lessons are given. Because our schools utilize the K-8 format, our bands are capable of performing music more challenging than a typical elementary group. In addition to performing at school concerts, all bands participate in a festival held locally in the spring. Most of our top bands also participate in regional festivals.
Our teachers have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in music education with an emphasis on instrumental music. All teachers are qualified to teach brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.
We offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefit package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and a retirement program.
