INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHING POSITION

Total 0.4 FTE ~ 1 position shared with both school sites
14 hours per week ~ schedule to be determined
POSITION
CRITERIA: The most qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
• Teaching experience in elementary grade level and subject matter
• Familiarization with the CA State Standards
• Demonstrable teaching experience and training with instrumental music
• Training in strings and band instruction
• Teaches skills in music theory, harmony and in instrumental music (band, orchestra, instrumental)
• Plan a balanced music program including rehearsal and instruction
• Utilize repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary, that are appropriate for the ages and skill
levels of the students
• Maintains professional competence
• Desire and ability to work with the defined grade level team members.
• Possess a growth mindset

EXPERIENCE: Prior teaching experience in elementary grade level and defined subject matter.
CREDENTIAL: Must possess a valid California a teaching credential authorizing the credential holder to provide service to
