The Waldorf School of Atlanta (WSA) was founded as a preschool/kindergarten program in 1986. Following years of rapid growth in the Decatur, GA community, WSA graduated its first eighth grade class in 2000. Today, WSA offers preschool to grade eight education for approximately 200+ students. Our current and evolving curriculum includes: Spanish language study, Eurythmy, Movement Education, Gardening, Music (Strings, Ukulele, and Chorus), Handwork, Woodwork, Sports Programs, an extensive and varied after school program, and summer camp sessions. WSA holds dual accreditation by SAIS and AWSNA and is a full member of AWSNA.
Our accomplished and professionally qualified school faculty work in partnership with the school’s Board of Trustees and alongside a vibrant and committed parent community. The faculty play a significant role in decision making and implementing programing at our school, with their efforts headed by the Core Faculty, the school’s body of pedagogical leadership.
