Founded in 1997, Community MusicWorks (CMW) is a leader in the youth development and music education field, building long-term learning and mentoring relationships between professional musicians, youth, and families in Providence, Rhode Island. CMW musicians teach instrument lessons at no cost to youth in the west and south sides of Providence, and perform in a robust concert series throughout Providence and the surrounding communities.  The Resident Musician position involves teaching cello lessons for students in CMW’s El Sistema-inspired Daily Orchestra Program, as well as co-leading rehearsals for the Daily Orchestra’s Lower and Upper Elementary orchestras.
